An economic and social outlook of the impact of COVID-19 in global supply chains and the private sector in Myanmar
The COVID-19, global public health and economic crisis, has caused major disruption to societies and economies worldwide. Measures have been put in place to contain and control the impact of the pandemic. Due to the interconnectedness of global supply chains, such measures have affected businesses in various sectors and the lives and livelihoods of thousands of workers. This session will discuss socio-economic repercussion of COVID-19 and the effects of global supply chains disruption on Myanmar enterprises and supply chains as well as the roles and importance of responsible business in the current context.
